Fact or Fiction
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Fact or Fiction portrait competition at Melbourne Polytechnic (formerly NMIT).
Fact or Fiction 2024 is a showcase of the best student portraits from Melbourne Polytechnic based on a well-known character that is either fictional or real.
The competition was created by VET teacher Con Emmanuelle back in 2014 to allow his visual arts students the experience of creating artwork outside of their structured course work for a real-world art prize entry, complete with terms and conditions.
The competition is open to all students who are currently studying Art or Visual Arts at a VCE or tertiary level in Victoria.
It’s free to enter and there are great prizes to be won, not to mention the opportunity of having your artwork displayed in the Fact or Fiction tenth year anniversary exhibition in 2024.
Northcote Space Gallery - Northcote Library - open throughout September during normal library hours.
