Wear the Wild: The Exhibition
Sarah Seahorse
Wear the Wild is a community collaboration uniting local artists and young people in Darebin
Wearable costume artists Luna Aquatica and Sarah Seahorse join young people from the Rainbow Lounge in a series of digital workshops and creative mentorship highlighting environmental issues and exploring wearable art.
Inspired by the flora and fauna of Darebin’s Parklands and creeks, Wear The Wild exhibition demonstrates how recycled materials diverted from landfill can be reimagined into fantastic and creative wearable art pieces.
This project will culminate in a digital photographic exhibition seen below, showcasing the artist's work alongside costume designs created by participating young people.
Above: Join Sarah and Luna in our exclusive interview, as they explain the background to their art and the Wear the Wild concept.
