Kate McLennan

Kate McLennan is an award-winning writer, stand-up comedian and actress. She is the co-writer of The Katering Show, where she plays an intolerable foodie alongside her food intolerant mate, Kate McCartney. The show launched on YouTube in 2015 and hit over 2 million views in its first week online. In 2017, having conquered the world of satirical cooking shows, the Kates set their sights on the chirpy world of morning TV with their signature brand of social awkwardness and unprofessionalism in their full-length series titled Get Krack!n, which aired on the ABC that same year. The second and final season aired to much critical acclaim on the ABC in 2019. Kate has appeared in thirteen Melbourne International Comedy Festivals and performed stand-up comedy throughout Australia, the UK, US, Hong Kong and Singapore. Kate also toured India with MICF where she hosted the Roadshow and RAW Comedy competitions.

Yves Rees

Dr Yves Rees is an award-winning writer, historian and podcaster. At present, Yves is a Lecturer in History at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. A settler Australian living and working on unceded Wurundjeri land, Yves has published widely across Australian gender, transnational and economic history. They are the recipient of the 2020 Calibre Essay Prize, awarded for their essay ‘Reading the Mess Backwards.’ Yves is the co-host (with Clare Wright) of the history podcast Archive Fever and they are a regular contributor to ABC radio. Their writing has featured in Guardian Australia, Overland, Inside Story, ABC Online, Archer, The Conversation and the Australian Book Review.

Clementine Ford

Clementine Ford is a writer, broadcaster, feminist commentator and public speaker based in Melbourne. She has published two best-selling non-fiction works, Fight Like A Girl (2017) and Boys Will Be Boys (2018).

Leanne Hall

Leanne Hall is an author of novels for young adults including the Text Prize-winning This Is Shyness and its sequel Queen of the Night. Iris and the Tiger is her first work for younger readers. Leanne has had shorter pieces published in Meanjin, Age, Best Australian Stories and the anthology Growing Up Asian In Australia. Her work plays with the borders of reality and fantasy. Leanne has worked in the arts, educational publishing and as a bookseller, but her enduring passion is for youth literature.

McKinley Valentine

McKinley Valentine is newsletter-maker and newsletter-evangelist. She makes The Whippet, a collection of interesting bits of history and science, personal digressions, and unsolicited advice. She’s also an emerging fantasy writer – her short fiction has been published in Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine and Seizure.
