Join us, set up your picnic blankets and BYO your supper for a family movie night in the park. The movie is the illustrious Whale Rider (2002), from New Zealand. Directed by Niki Caro, and based on the 1987 novel by Witi Ihimaera, Whale Rider stars Keisha Castle-Hughes as a Māori girl who dreams of becoming chief of her tribe, but who must first negotiate a male-dominated culture.
This partnership event follows the Rezza Festival, a Reservoir Neighborhood House event.
Location: TW Andrews Reserve, East Reservoir. Friday 18 March. Arrive from 6.30pm. Screening starts at nightfall, approx. 7.30-8pm. Free.
