Melbourne Ukulele Festival
Hollis Dwyer
Our headliner of the Festival is the Ukulele Death Squad - the most dangerous ukulele band all the way from Adelaide!
The Melbourne Ukulele Festival (MUF) boasts 75 performers over three days, plus we host other community ukulele events. The MUF art show Pimp My MUF exhibits painted ukuleles. Klub MUF is the festival’s open mic stage and Bar 303 hosts the after-gig parties.
The Festival is once again based on High Street, Northcote, in all our favourite venues –Wesley Anne, Northcote Town Hall, Chalice – Uniting Church Northcote and, our old faithful, Bar 303 - surrounded by quirky shops, yummy restaurants, hip bars and cafes and all on a train and a city tramline!
The festival offers 12 workshops for all levels of playing skills on a whole range of techniques and musical education. Our ukulele market has something to offer the professional musician, the keen enthusiasts and the curious. A stellar weekend of stunning ukulele entertainment awaits you.
