Celebrate the 'local heroes' of Darebin with the Darebin Community Awards

The Darebin Community Awards is an annual event that acknowledges and celebrates groups and individuals that make an outstanding contribution to our community.

Darebin Community Awards are awarded in nine categories:

Citizen of the Year
Young Citizen of the Year
Community Group of the Year
Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Community Leader of the Year
Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Emerging Young Community Leader of the Year
Sustainability Award
Lifetime Achievement Award
CALD Elder Community Leader of the Year
CALD Emerging Community Leader

Between 1 September 2020 and 11 February 2021, nominations were open for the 2020 Darebin Community Awards. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Darebin Arts Centre on Thursday 18 March. The event will be a COVID safe event for nominees and nominators only.
