Tapsalteerie @ FUSE
Join Tapsalteerie in celebrating local artists and places in the final day of the Darebin’s newest festival, FUSE.
Bringing together three artists from diverse, yet complimentary backgrounds, Tapsalteerie is a Melbourne-based Celtic music group, consisting of flute (Meredith Beardmore), guitar/keyboards (Timothy Franklin), and double bass (Isaac Gunnoo). The group performs original music that explores interesting territory – including unusual time-signatures and colourful harmonies – infused with the rhythmic drive and tone colours of traditional Irish and Scottish music.
The group’s name, Tapsalteerie, (literally ‘topsy-turvy’) is in homage to the work of Rabbie Burns.
Tapsalteerie creates music that is inspired by people and place. We create on the lands of the Wurundjeri people and we acknowledge their deep and ongoing connection and knowledge. We pay our respects to their elders past, present, and emerging.
