FUSE Special: 2023 Our Songs Showcase at the Chalice

Following on the success of Our Songs over the past few years. FUSE Darebin has a curated program Our Songs Showcase at the Chalice Northcote Uniting Church, this December, featuring performances from Darebin-based community choirs, acapella, and musical groups.

Our Songs Showcase a celebration of peace, love and joy. The theme of peace, love and joy was inspired by the idea of the Darebin community coming together in the spirit of reconciliation and harmony at the local level.  Our Songs Showcase 2023 is a FUSE Special event and will be presented on December 16, 2023, from 2-7pm. FUSE Special events keep the spirit of FUSE alive between our Autumn and Spring festivals. 

Time: 2 – 8 December 16
Location: Chalice, 251 High Street Northcote
This is a free to attend event – register via Eventbrite

OPPORTUNITIES

$10,000 will be awarded to the winning artist as a prize and fee for usage.
See your artwork become the official RMIT Indigenous branding in 2024 and beyond! The brief RMIT’s Indigenous brand is a visual embodiment of our connection to our Indigenous history and programs. The Indigenous brand design competition gives current Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students the opportunity to creatively express what this connection looks like, in a design that will be used internally and externally at RMIT.

Previous Winner: Artwork ‘Luwaytini‘ by Palawa artist Mark Cleaver was selected as RMIT's Indigenous branding design for 2022 and is featured across the RMIT website and other platforms.

Meet the Makers – Register now

Do you make your own Wine, Beer or Produce at home?     

Darebin’s annual Meet the Makers competition returns in March 2024, and entries are open now. Celebrating our diverse food and beverage traditions, Meet the Makers is a homemade wine, beer and produce competition, showcasing the makers and their products with great prizes to be won!

The showcase will be held on Saturday 23 March, 2024 at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre (7 Prospect Hill Dr, Bundoora VIC 3083). Wine and beer applicants must be available to showcase on this day, and other category applicants are also highly encouraged to attend.

This competition is FREE TO ENTER.

Categories include Red wine, White wine, Country wines/Other/Rose, Beer and Produce, including Tomato Passata, Preserved Olives, Ajvar, pickled vegetables and sourdough bread. 

Entries close Friday 9 February 2024.
