Artist Statement
Popular music creation is an enigmatic activity, captured in expensive and controlled environments necessary for sonic accuracy and minimal distraction. Music technology has become increasingly affordable, but there are still many barriers to accessibility: economics, class, gender and disability. This project intends to demystify the process and inspire through greater visibility, and an open invitation for dialogue between creator and audience.

Artist Bio
Ming Lang is an artist that primarily works with sound and music. Informed by his Chinese-Australian background, he explores identity and character with regards to place and time. As a skilled mentor and facilitator, he is particularly passionate about working with young people and supporting their expression using sound.
